Our space is versatile and can host weddings, corporate meetings, non-profit events, birthday parties, Pop Up Mobile Stores, concerts, sporting watch parties, movie watch parties, festivals etc. Let us know your vision, and we’ll work to make it happen.

Pricing depends on the type of event, date, day of week, site chosen, and duration. We offer different rates for non-profits, free-to-the-public events, weddings, and more. Contact us for a custom quote.
About Booking and Payments

To reserve your date, we require a signed Memorandum of Agreement and 25% deposit. The remaining balance is due thirty days before your event.

If you cancel your event more than thirty days in advance you will forfeit your 25% deposit. If you cancel your event within thirty days, you will be responsible for the full venue fee.
If Friends cancels your event due to inclement weather, natural disasters or Park closures we will notify you as soon as possible and work to reschedule your event or refund your venue fee in full.
Event Planning Details

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own vendors, or you can choose from our preferred vendor list. (Preferred Vendor List to come!)

Our rental package includes:
- Access to the event venue
- Use of park furniture already onsite
- Public restrooms
You are welcome to rent any other amenities needed for the rental.

Yes at this time we have the following available for rental at a nominal fee:
- Folding Tables
- 10 x 10 black pop up tents
- 10 x 20 tents
- Basic AV Equipment- Speakers/PA System
- Bike barricades/fencing
- Firepits
Rental Policies

Yes, alcohol is allowed with the proper permits and a licensed bartender. You are able to serve alcohol at the event in either of these ways;
- The alcohol is by a holder of a caterer’s license; however the event must be sponsored by a non for profit organization if it is opened to the public.
- A not- for-profit organization can get a special occasion license to sell and serve alcohol
- A business or organization can obtain a banquet permit. The alcohol must not be sold, and the event must not be open to the public.

We adhere to local noise ordinances, and all amplified sound must conclude by 10:00 PM. In accordance with Friends’ community agreement, events on Pier 62 and Overlook Walk with amplified sound are not to exceed an average of (78) dB(A) as measured on the east side of Alaskan Way in front of Waterfront Landing. This is equivalent to city traffic noise. At this time events in other areas of the Park must adhere to Seattle Municipal Code 25.08.520.

Yes, we require clients to provide proof of event insurance. Friends will include a complete list of requirements, and due dates, in the Memorandum of Agreement.

Yes, subject to local fire regulations and approval. Additional permits may be required.

Yes pets on a leash are allowed at Waterfront Park.

Decorations that could harm the landscape, such as confetti or heavy equipment, are not allowed. Our team will provide guidelines to ensure the space is preserved.
Event Logistics

There is street parking available (first come, first served), and several public parking lots in the area. A permit can be obtained from the City for spots along Alaskan Way.

Yes, our venue is fully accessible, including ramps and restrooms.

Our staff is available to provide direction and best practices for the space only. You will need to hire your own staff for your event including security staff if needed

Yes, you do need to make sure all waste is removed from the premises at the end of the event. If you need assistance or recommendations for waste disposal services, we’d be happy to provide resources to help you meet these requirements.

Yes, all event organizers are responsible for the proper handling and disposal of gray water (wastewater from sinks, catering, or other non-sewage activities). This includes:
- Supplying appropriate containers or tanks to collect gray water during your event.
- Ensuring all gray water is removed from the premises and disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
If you require recommendations for gray water collection services or disposal facilities, we are happy to provide guidance.

We do require security staff if:
- The event is private
- There is alcohol service
- Your event includes valuable infrastructure that needs to be protected. If the event is set up th before e day prior to the event overnight security is required.

You may have access to the venue from 5:00AM to 2:00AM for Load In/Set Up/Load out.

Vehicles coming onto Pier 62 must enter from the South of the new Aquarium Building and drive north along the Promenade. Because of this route we do require;
- A walking escort for all vehicles (as part of your event planning we can discuss whether this is a Paid security guard or our own personnel)
- When possible, vehicles entering and exiting Pier 62 should occur outside of regular Waterfront business hours to limit the impact to pedestrians.
Weather and Contingencies

We recommend clients have a backup plan, such as a tent rental or other weather protection amenities.

Limited shade is available at Overlook Walk, Pier 62 and Pier 58, but we recommend tents or umbrellas for larger groups.

We can provide smaller tents (10 x 10 and 20 x 10). We do not provide larger tents at this time but can recommend trusted local vendors for tent rentals if needed.

Yes, the space is available year-round with additional considerations needed for the colder months.
Amenities and Facilities

We provide one ADA restroom and two regular restrooms; you may arrange additional facilities, if required for your event. We can recommend how many you need according to the size of your event.

Yes, we have outdoor outlets available for lighting, catering, and other needs. If more power is required, we recommend renting generators. We do require cable ramps to be used and we will schedule a pre-event site visit to review your requirements. For larger power needs we can recommend vendors to run additional power.

We provide minimal string light and rail lighting, but you may need additional lighting for your event, depending on its size and timing.
Setup and Logistics

We will provide a site map of the location labeling areas that cannot be driven on, blocked and showing permanent fixtures that cannot be moved.

No, tent weights and/or anchors are required to secure tents and other items.
