Meet Tlalokan

Tlalokan performance for House Tornado.

Tlalokan (Tlah – LOW – kahn) is a cultural group dedicated to sharing the beauty of Anáhuac (Ah – NAH – wahk) history, philosophy and living Indigenous peoples through danza and music with traditional instruments.

The type of dance they perform is commonly known as “Danza Azteca-Chichimeca,” or Aztec Dance, paying homage to the Aztecs or Mexicas.

Their hope is that through experiencing danza and the sounds of the instruments, that all of us can connect to something deeper within ourselves and the world; inspire curiosity, and the passion to learn and evolve.
