About this Spotlight

We’ve partnered with Hālau Hula Pūlamahiaikalikolehua to bring the art of Hula through the teachings and styling of Ma’iki Aiu Lake and Moodette Keliihoomalu Kaapana to Seattle’s waterfront on Pier 62.

Enjoy a two-hour showcase of Native Hawaiian music and dance with the sea, mountains, and city as your backdrop!

Hālau Hula Pūlamahiaikalikolehua

Hālau Hula Pūlamahiaikalikolehua preserves and perpetuates the art of Hula through the teachings and styling of Ma’iki Aiu.

They’ve performed at venues all over Seattle, namely at the Live Aloha Cultural Hawaiian Festival at Seattle Center, Northwest Folklife Festival, Seattle Slack Key Festival, the Uwajimaya Polynesian Festival, and so many more!

Keeping with their mission to pass on the knowledge of the parents to the children, they guide Aha Mele Workshops teaching beginner Keiki Hula to kids and youths.

“Ka ‘ike a ka makua he hei na ke keiki.” -The parent’s knowledge is the child’s.
