Randy Bowles

Singer-Songwriter

  • I’ve been singing and playing music since 1955. I’ve had a 50-year career in Seattle, the town of my birth. I currently perform all-original acoustic music for art galleries, festivals and community events. I write in the Americana style – folk, blues, jazz, rock, singer-songwriter. My songs are songs of inspiration, inclusion, love and healing. They are about community building. Between songs, I share brief stories about the song I am about to sing. Ninety percent of my songs were written within the last eighteen months – these are fresh, current songs.

During my very long career, I’ve been blessed to be included on a Grammy-nominated CD set. I’ve performed with Willie Nelson. I’ve performed for Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks events. I’ve performed with the Grand Ole Opry (although I am not a country music performer – I’m much more contemporary folk-oriented). I’ve performed at our NW Folklife Festival ten times, including our 2024 event. I perform for non-profit organizations, community gatherings including Seattle Neighborhood Night Out (4 times), Seattle Center’s A/NT Gallery artist collective, Path with Art, Fishbowl Gallery and Gallery B612. I often play at least once per week. I am a grant recipient for Seattle Center’s “Artists At The Center” series. I am a septuagenarian ambassador to all the generations; bringing energized love and affirmation to people of all ages and backgrounds. I live to perform. I give my all every time I take my guitar out of its case. I’ve given thousands of performances; each one unique, each one a total blessing.
