About this Spotlight

Join Daybreak Star Radio for an evening of musical, educational, and cultural programming that reconnect Indigenous, Native American, and First Nations people to their heritage by strengthening their sense of belonging and significance as a people.

Staged on the stunning Pier 58, the Spotlight series highlights talented artists and offers audiences a gateway to explore the diverse arts and culture scene of the region.

Meet Daybreak Star Radio Network

Daybreak Star Radio Network is the radio station for American Indian and Tribal music!

Daybreak Star Radio’s mission is to provide musical, educational, cultural, and language arts programming that reconnect Indigenous, Native American, and First Nations people to their heritage by strengthening their sense of belonging and significance as a people. Daybreak Star Radio aims to indigenize the airways.

They are not tied to one genre of music: playing everything from traditional drums, Pow Wow, Native flute, and rattles to R&B, Hip Hop, Rock & Roll, Metal, Funk, and more.

Accessibility

Friends strives to ensure Waterfront Park, and our events are inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to everyone.

Waterfront Park is an outdoor space in downtown Seattle providing various amenities such as wheelchair accessible seating, shade, water stations, cooling fans, and ADA accessible restrooms.

At this event, the following resources can be checked out onsite at the Friends of Waterfront Park Info Booth:

  • Courtesy wheelchair
  • Sensory Kits (Includes: noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, headwraps, and other items)
  • Assisted Listening Devices
