About this event

We’re partnering with CD Art Walk and Made Space Seattle for an evening dedicated to the culture and community of the Central District. Join us as we celebrate Black art, culture and neighborhood legacy.

A Bite of the Block is an arts and culture activation representing a sample of all the Central District has to offer as a historical destination neighborhood. Join us to learn about the history, businesses, and things to do and see in the Central District just 2 miles from downtown Seattle.

Proudly Partnered with CD Art Walk and Made Space Seattle

Made Space is a place for intentionally being creative, taking time for self-care, and creating space to share and showcase Black creatives and entrepreneurs. We do this through classes, events, pop-ups, and open studio/co-working hours. Made Space Seattle aims to fulfill its mission to serve as a space for everyone to enjoy and find connection while highlighting Black creatives and entrepreneurs.

DJ TOPSPIN

DJ TOPSPIN [aka BLENDIANA JONES] is established as a musical pillar in the Northwest and across the world. He [seemingly] easily weaves a complex blend of hits & unearthed genre-spanning gems from both past & present eras, creating a musical tapestry all his own. He’s particularly renowned for his harmonic ear, showcased by his signature blends / remixes, selection & timing; as evidenced by the “a.k.a. BLENDIANA JONES” addition to his moniker. The nickname says it all, as he’s left his sonic imprint on Seattle’s cultural nightlife scene throughout the span of his 30+ year career & has plans to continue taking his talents far & wide globally. His ability to read a room & sonically satisfy the various cultures within, are unmatched. Born from a Jamaican father & Panamanian mother, the pulse of the diaspora [in the form of dancehall / reggae / soca / afrobeat] is always present in his musical displays. ‘Harmony-heavy flavor for those that love to dance’ is the envelope he pushes via the records [he pushes & pulls]. Make no mistake; you “need it from the TOP!”

PJ's Classic Creamery
