The crown jewel of Waterfront Park, Overlook Walk is a stunning elevated park space that creates the first-ever direct pedestrian connection between Pike Place Market and the waterfront. This beautiful park features winding pathways, cascading steps, open gathering spaces, and plenty of seating, all with breathtaking views of Waterfront Park, Downtown Seattle, and the Salish Sea!

Public Transportation:
Pier 62 is easily accessed by bus, light rail, ferry, or water taxi. Once here, jump on the Free Waterfront Park Shuttle to get around Waterfront Park and downtown Seattle! See the Free Waterfront Park Shuttle schedule and stop map here.
Driving Directions
From I-5 North, take the Madison Street/Convention Place exit. Stay straight to go onto 7th Ave. Take the first left onto Madison Street. Turn right onto Alaskan Way. Overlook Walk is on the right adjacent to Pine Street.
From I-5 South, take exit 165A toward James Street. From right lane, merge onto 6th Avenue. Turn right on Columbia Street. Turn right on 1st Avenue. Turn left on Madison Street. Turn right onto Alaskan Way. Pier 62 is on the right adjacent to Pier 62.
Parking:
Paid street parking is available along Alaskan Way and adjacent streets. Additional parking garages exist along Waterfront Park as well. Learn more at the links below.

ADA ramps are available along the upper portion of Overlook Walk that connects to Pike Place Market.
ADA seating is available throughout Overlook Walk, including wheelchair accessible seating at the Salish Steps’ built-in amphitheater.
An accessible elevator is available at the southeast corner of the Ocean Pavilion.

Overlook Walk Café
The new concessionaire space is designed to have an indoor-outdoor feel with large glass windows and slide away glass doors. In addition, a covered pavilion with provided seating and tables.
Once interior renovations are completed, this new space will house two vendors to provide locals and visitors with delicious options:
- Boon Boona Coffee
- Dossier Wine Collective
Bluff Walk Playground
This new play area is tucked in between the pathways leading between Pike Place MarketFront and the main Overlook Plaza. It features climbing elements, ropes, slides, and rubber surfacing with natural elements like rocks and trees surrounding the area creating a semi-secluded feel while being in the middle of it all. And as the kids play, sit down and take in the views of the city and sea!
Salish Steps & Plaza
SALISH STEPS
These cascading steps leading up to the top of Overlook Walk are more than just steps; this space also features a built-in amphitheater that overlooks the water and will is an event space for our 2025 Spotlight at Waterfront Park Program. The amphitheater has lighting and ADA seating available.
SALISH PLAZA
The plaza is located just under Overlook Walk and connects Waterfront Park to the Alaskan Way sidewalks and bike lanes. Keep an eye on this area as new permanent art is installed and hung from the overpass.

Community Wall
Leave Your Mark On Waterfront Park
Support the Campaign for Waterfront Park with a gift of $1,200 (or $100/month) and you will receive a spot on our Community Wall at Overlook Walk, featuring your custom text on a botanical token.
Token shapes will be randomly assigned, creating a tapestry of different botanical elements that celebrate the natural beauty of our region and honoring the connection between the city, the water, the mountains and our connections to one another.
You can also gift a botanical token! When filling out the form, you can designate an honoree and send them an e-card to let them know you’ve made a gift in their honor.
Ocean Pavilion Rooftop
Situated on the roof of the new Ocean Pavilion expansion building, this space offers bench seating, garden beds with native plants, flowers, and bushes. On clear days, views of the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier!
Friends works in partnership with the Seattle Aquarium to take care of this new space.
