Grand opening of Seattle’s newest park is just around the corner, but there is already so much to celebrate: Overlook Walk connecting Pike Place Market to the waterfront, a restored section of beach reflecting the natural landscapes and revitalizing salmon passageways at Habitat Beach, and public art installations throughout the entirety of the 20 acres of Waterfront Park. This last summer the park welcomed over 30,000 people for free music events, fitness and wellness classes, and multicultural performances – many of which were made possible by our generous community supporters and partnerships.
This new park is a place for us to reconnect – to the water, to nature, to our city and to one another. The work of Friends to create a welcoming and safe place for everyone in our community, alongside our partners, is vital to our mental and physical wellbeing, and you can be part of making it all possible!
You’re invited to leave your mark on Waterfront Park: monthly gifts are the best way to sustain this vital public space now and into the future, but whatever way you choose to support is greatly appreciated. Make a gift today!
Leaving your mark on Waterfront Park at any level will help ensure we can provide free community programming year-round, as well as maintain thousands of new plantings, and keep the park safe and cared for so that it can be enjoyed by all for generations to come.
For those able to contribute $100/month or $1,200 one-time, you can also receive a botanical token with customizable text, making up a Community Wall on the newly opened Overlook Walk, reflecting the growing ecosystem of supporters leaving their mark on this once-in-a-generation investment in Seattle’s newest park. Reserve your botanical token today!
Not ready to make a gift? That’s OK! Keep up to date with everything happening in Waterfront Park by subscribing to our newsletter, which features upcoming events, construction progress and more.
