PLANKTON EXPLORERS

Join Seattle Aquarium experts as they uncover the amazing life that hides in every drop of seawater: plankton! Plankton comes in thousands of different varieties, so we’re never sure exactly what we’ll find during this program. Seattle Aquarium staff will bring special equipment to collect plankton as well as microscopes to observe. We can guarantee you’ll see something truly unexpected and maybe even something Aquarium Staff has never seen.

PUGET SOUND PEER DOWN   

Join Seattle Aquarium experts along the waters of Puget Sound on a mission to find amazing wildlife. Participants will meet Aquarium Staff at Pier 62 and learn how to look for marine invertebrates, birds, and marine mammals. We never know what we might find on this exciting adventure. Participants should come ready to explore and use their senses to uncover the secrets of the Salish Sea. No reservation is necessary, but space is limited. A small amount of walking is required; comfortable shoes are recommended.

SEATTLE AQUARIUM STORYTIME  

Join Seattle Aquarium Staff for storytime out on the pier. We will read through an ocean-themed children’s book. Following storytime, Aquarium Staff will provide a fun craft related to the book for all participating children. We recommend this program for children six years of age and under and their families. No reservation is necessary, but space is limited.

Masks are required for unvaccinated participants. All programs will be held outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
