About this Spotlight

Join us for a magical waterfront evening featuring Native American music as the sun sets over the sound. Bring blankets and immerse yourself in the rich musical expressions of Turtle Island Peoples beneath the evening sky.

Set on Seattle’s waterfront on Pier 62, enjoy a two-hour event of music—featuring sounds influenced by rock, country, blues, and folk— and community with the seas, mountains, and city as your backdrop!

Meet the Performers

Blood Quantum

Blood Quantum is a brother and sister duo, consisting of Amari and Clay LaRocque, from the Turtle Mountain Reservation in North Dakota. We grew up on country music and rock, which led to the sound of our music. The community we grew up in is full of musicians, and in a way, we are trying to give back by making music.

We believe music is the bilingual language we can all speak and it is what keeps the world going. We started Blood Quantum as a way to not only play sick music but to also be advocates and educators for native issues.

The Jaydogs

The Jaydogs are inspired by 50+ years of the best in Rock, Blues, Country, and Folk music, all of which can be heard resonating in our original songs.

In addition to original music, our live sets include our interpretations of the Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, Bob Dylan, Steve Winwood, Grateful Dead, Metallica (yep, Metallica on a mandolin), Pink Floyd, the Traveling Wilburys, and more.

About Daybreak Star Radio Network

Daybreak Star Radio Network is the radio station for American Indian and Tribal music!

They are not tied to one genre of music: playing everything from traditional drums, Pow Wow, Native flute, and rattles to R&B, Hip Hop, Rock & Roll, Metal, Funk, and more.

They also hold space for those who give respect through study and appreciation of Native instruments.

Daybreak Star Radio’s mission is to provide musical, educational, cultural, and language arts programming that reconnect Indigenous people to their heritage by strengthening their sense of belonging and significance as a people.
