Waterfront Park Comes to Life

Now that Waterfront Park is fully realized, Friends is stepping into our next chapter: stewarding this beloved public space year-round, so it remains clean, safe, welcoming, and alive with possibility.

That means daily maintenance in partnership with Seattle Center and thoughtful programming curated alongside community partners. It means uplifting local vendors, artists, and storytellers. It means showing up for the waterfront—and everyone who gathers here. Learn more about this next chapter on our blog.

Milestone Reached: Completing the Campaign for Waterfront Park

Thanks to our growing community of 3,000 supporters, along with businesses, sponsors and community groups, we’ve reached the $170 million campaign goal!

“This campaign represents more than dollars raised—it’s a promise delivered. Together, we have built not just a park, but a living, breathing civic space rooted in belonging, beauty, and shared possibility. Now, our real work begins: to bring people and local communities together to ensure Waterfront thrives as a vibrant gathering space.” – Joy Shigaki, President & CEO
