Friends of Waterfront Seattle presents Pier Sounds: an annual free concert series on the waterfront. Presented in partnership with KEXP's El Sonido Podcast.

Come see sensational bands and artists including the Nada Rosa, LivT, Tomo Nakayama, Tres Leches, Chong the Nomad, and more!  Enjoy live music, local food trucks, a beer garden, and all the sights and sounds of Seattle’s waterfront.

Presented in partnership with KEXP’s El Sonido Podcast, Pier Sounds is hosted and curated by DJ Albina and feature a selection of live DJs including DJ Rizoma, DJ Mala Noche, DJ Pax, and DJ Albina from El Sonido.

Don’t miss the local food trucks and a beer garden, as well as an immersive art installation centering youth voices by Urban Artworks’s Base Camp Lead Project.

The spiritual successor to Summer Nights on the Pier, but with an emphasis on world-class artists of the Pacific Northwest, the 3rd annual Pier Sounds pairs live music with views of the Puget Sound and the mountains beyond all on Seattle’s iconic Pier 62.

Don't miss out on upcoming concerts, celebrations, and classes at Pier 62!

Tomo Nakayama

Nada Rosa

LivT

Karma Rivera

Friday, July 28

Tomo Nakayama: Born in Japan and raised in Seattle, Tomo Nakayama has been a fixture in the PNW music scene for over a decade. His latest synth pop album, Melonday, was named one of the Top Albums of 2020 by Seattle Times, The Stranger, and Seattle Met, and debuted at #1 on KEXP’s NW Charts.

Nada Rosa: Seattle-based Nada Rosa is a 5-piece ensemble inspired by Latin soul, surf, garage rock, and global psychedelia. The band delivers a unique sound that explores themes of spirituality, imaginary landscapes, home, and universal connection.

LivT: LIVt is a Pacific Northwest Native who values creativity and serving others. Her music is a reflection on love and what it means to be Black + outspoken. She explores what it takes to get out of your own way and be who you want.

Karma Rivera: Karma Rivera has made herself a regional star by proving her range: pop-flavored Hip-Hop, melodic trap-like instrumentation and Latin-infused dance music. Her charisma imbues the music with infectious energy.

Black Ends

The Kerrys

Tres Leches

Chong the Nomad

Saturday, July 29

Black Ends: Black Ends’ self-described gunk-pop is about as sweet as that wad of asphalt-crusted bubblegum you found stuck on the bottom of your favorite boots.

The Kerrys: The Kerrys are brown (some racially ambiguous) boys making sparkly music for your ears, from their minds.

Tres Leches:  Tres Leches creates what they call survival art, using music as a resource to bring joy and creative mobility to their audience. Involving multiple languages, artistic styles (art-punk, psych, pop, cumbia, experimental) and international influences (everything from The Replacements to Café Tacvba), the band does not fit into one single label.

Chong the Nomad: Chong The Nomad (Alda Agustiano) is a 26-year-old Indonesian American producer, DJ and artist based in Seattle. An accomplished producer with credits in TV and movies, she has shared the stage with the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Toro Y Moi, Japanese Breakfast, and more.
