Get ready for a day filled with festivities and appreciation for the abundant richness of Native communities, cultures, and history. Kick off the City‑wide Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration at Pier 62!
This year, the festivities for this city-wide celebration begin at Pier 62 with song, dance, and poetry before marching along the Seattle waterfront, weaving back through the city, and ending at Westlake Park. There will be two sections of the Indigenous Peoples’ Day March, and you can join for the whole march or join for either of the two sections:
- 11:00 am | First Section – Pier 62 to King Street Plaza
- 1:30 pm | Second Section – King Street Plaza to Westlake Park
Continue celebrating into the evening at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center or gather at Washington Hall with community partners from across the city!
October 14 is Indigenous Peoples’ Day- a day to recognize, honor, and celebrate Native peoples. March along the Seattle waterfront and after arriving at the Plaza, join the rally and enjoy celebrations before continuing the March to Westlake Park.
1:30 pm – 5:00 pm | March to Westlake Park (401 Pine Street)
March through the city to Westlake Park and enjoy the Round Dance for Peace to conclude the March and Rally.
Indigenous Peoples' Day 2024 ‑ Evening Celebrations
5:00 pm – 9:00 pm | Daybreak Star Celebration at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center, 5011 Bernie Whitebear Way, Seattle WA 98199. With will be dancing, dinner, and bingo. Feel free to wear your regalia!
