Fins & Feathers: Finding Nature On The Waterfront

Come to a joint session by Seattle Aquarium and Seattle Audubon as they to explore the creatures in and on the city shoreline.
Join Seattle Aquarium and Seattle Audubon as they uncover urban-dwelling wildlife in the air and sea of Puget Sound. Participants will meet at Pier 62 and learn how to look for marine invertebrates, birds, and marine mammals. Participants will have the option to join a guided one-mile walk to Pocket Beach for a closer look at wildlife along the Seattle waterfront (see EventBrite). Or, stay at Pier 62 for birding and a closer-look station with objects and artifacts from 10am – 12pm (open for drop-ins any time).
To participate in the trip to Pocket Beach register below. There is limited capacity for this portion of the program. Anticipate walking and standing for up to two hours. Travel to Pocket Beach will utilize sidewalks. Anticipate rocky and slippery terrain at Pocket Beach.
Participants will be selected to get hands on with the program in the order they arrive. This program is held outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
