KEXP is excited to announce a new partnership with AFROPUNK and Friends of Waterfront Park; presenting AFROPUNK Seattle. This all-ages event will take place from 2-8:30 PM on Saturday, September 7th at Pier 62 at Seattle’s new Waterfront Park.
Featuring a headlining performance by Cautious Clay with support from Black Ends, BLAST, Lace Cadence, Faridaguyzzz, and hosted by KEXP’s Eva Walker. AFROPUNK will also highlight community organizations, feature food trucks, and offer a 21+ Beer Garden.
AFROPUNK began in 2005 as a celebration of independent Black music and culture, and over the past two decades the organization has expanded and grown, holding festivals in cities across the world in addition to their annual flagship festival in Brooklyn.
