Ages 7 yrs+This summer, we’re transforming Pier 62 into a skate park! Keep reading to learn more about what we have in store.
- June 10 – Free Skate from 1-4 PM | UPDATE: This session has been CANCELED. Adding an additional date soon for July.
- July 18 – Skate Clinic from 3-4 PM, Free Skate from 4-6 PM
- June 20 – Skate Clinic from 3-4 PM, Free Skate from 4-6 PM
- August 15 – Skate Clinic from 3-4 PM, Free Skate from 4-6 PM
Skate Clinics: Roll over to Pier 62 for free skate clinics by Skate Like a Girl, open to all genders and designed for everyone who wants to learn or improve their skateboarding. Whether it’s learning how to push and cruise, drop-in, ollie, or even do flip tricks! There is a limit of 20 participants per class. First come, first served.
Free Skate: An open free skate session will be available for all ages and abilities with no formal instruction. Just show up and drop in! If you have gear, please bring it. Helmets required for all participants. Hosts will provide gear to those who need it. There is no capacity limit for Free Skate, but participants still need to sign a waiver.
Please arrive early to complete required forms.

Skate Like a Girl is a nonprofit organization empowering individuals, especially young women and trans people, to become strong, confident leaders who promote and implement equity through the vehicle of skateboarding. They believe that skateboarding is a tool to build confidence, resilience, and foster inclusive community. Their mission is to create an inclusive community by promoting confidence, leadership, and social justice through the sport of skateboarding.
